TV Series

You may recall a few months back that a lot of hoopla arose surrounding the announcement that Mark Steven Johnson, he of Ghost Rider infamy, would be tackling a miniseries for HBO based on Garth Ennis’ beloved comic series Preacher. The plan was large; at one point every single issue of the comic was going to be an entire episode of the show (really the only way it would work). Now, however, Johnson has revealed that it was always close, but no cigar.

We just got word in that American Horrors, a TV show that will feature indie horror flicks, has brought on board Puppet Master creator Ken Hall and his newest film The Halfway House. The Halfway House, a story about a Catholic high school gone wrong, is just one of the films American Horrors had under its belt and you can be a part of it too! Those of you out there who just can’t stand the wait for Alan Ball’s “True Blood”, the vampire show coming to HBO this fall, you’re going to love this; Daily Motion just got a very cool exclusive from the show, a news report that details just how vampires went from being creatures in the shadows to functioning, accepted members of society.

Though not exactly horror per se, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's TV series "Spaced" has plenty of roots planted firmly within our genre. One watch and you'll see what I mean.

In a very strange twist of events, Joss Whedon has decided that his newest show for Fox, “Dollhouse”, will air out of sequence. Fans of the man’s work may recall this was one of the many contributing factors to the quick death of “Firefly”, only this time it’s not because of studio interference.
