October 27th is shaping up to be one of the best Tuesdays of the year for DVD and Blu-ray aficionados what with the release of Night of the Creeps, Orphan, Fear(s) of the Dark, and The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (aka Let Sleeping Corpses Lie). Throw in over-the-top cult favorite in the making Black Devil Doll, and your shopping cart is already pretty full.

When the announcement came that Night of the Creeps was finally hitting Blu-ray and DVD, there was much rejoicing. Lord knows it's been a long time coming! With the release just a couple of weeks away, we've got some cool stuff from the package for you to watch and enjoy!

Just a quick update to our last story on all the bloody goods Dread Central will be bringing to Monster-Mania 13 August 21-23rd! Showtime wanted to jump in and celebrate the release of "Dexter" Season 3, so they've kicked in some DVD sets for our hourly prizes! With the L-O-N-G awaited DVD of Night of the Creeps just around the corner, interest in the film is arguably at an all-time high. Creeps creator, Fred Dekker is at the San Diego Comic Con this week (like everyone else in the world) and spilled the beans on the possibility of a sequel...

We can all be thankful that Fred Dekker’s 1986 classic Night of the Creeps is on its way to DVD this fall, but horror fans can’t say the same for the planned DVD artwork – which you can have some say in choosing! The only problem is finding one that isn’t a goddamn eyesore!

Horror fans would think Hell has finally frozen over. Think about it: Lost footage from Night Breed has been found, Universal has finally decided to release Phantasm II onto DVD (in what I'm reasonably sure will be an R-rated bare-bones release, but still), and now the specs have dropped for Sony's upcoming super-stacked DVD and Blu-ray editions of Night of the Creeps!
