I hold a very special place in my heart for post-apocolyptic movies. After the effects budget has been spent, what of the survivors? What do you do? How do you survive? Are you really safe?
Post-apocalyptic horror/thriller The Collapsed will be bringing its own answers to those questions to theaters in Canada as well as some special screenings in the US.
The first dates have been released for Canada, with more to come:
TORONTO: May 27 – June 2 (Rainbow Cinemas Carlton)
CALGARY: June 3, 4 (Uptown Stage & Screen)
HAMILTON: June 7 (The Staircase Theatre)
US fans aren’t going to be left in the dark, however, as The Collapsesd will have its American premiere as an official selection of the Fangoria Film Festival, part of the DAYS OF THE DEAD horror convention in Indianapolis. Screening times are pending.

In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive against insurmountable odds. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home, Dover’s Bend.
The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries.
