The Exorcist Going Blu-ray!

Here’s a question … Once you’ve watched The Exorcist: The Version You Have Never Seen, do you get mad every time that you look at the box and notice that it’s now lying to you, or do you just accept the “version you have never seen” statement as one of the devil’s tricks?

In any event The Digital Bits has reported that Warner Home Video has confirmed that The Exorcist: The Version You’ve Never Seen will be released on Blu-ray disc on 9/8/09. No word on art or extras yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Now if only we could get the theatrical version included as well ….

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

True. If Friedkin fucks with THE EXORCIST like he did with the transfer of FRENCH CONNECTION then he should never be allowed near a telecine again.

I read even Owen Roizman (DP of both films) was mighty pissed off at what they did to FRENCH CONNECTION on Blu-Ray.

come on Kyle, you better get excited! this is a treat. a very sweet one at that. I’m excited as hell to get my blueray copy of the exocist!

Not too sure how excited I am about this actually, if anyone here has seen The French Connection on blu-ray you may know what I’m talking about. I believe Friedkin is using B&W prints as the main source, then bleeding a color print over that. Looks terrible.

I did catch this on Monsters HD 2 years ago however, looked amazing!
