New Clash of the Titans Still

Now this is how we like to wrap up a Friday! One remake that I’m actually looking forward to is Louis Leterrier’s version of the creature-laden classic Clash of the Titans, which is filming as we speak. To take us into the weekend, we now present to you another, much more badass still of Sam Worthington as Perseus. ROCK!

Special Features
“Helpless to save his family from Hades (Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate, and create his own destiny.”

Look for Louis Leterrier’s version of this classic tale to hit theatres March 26, 2010. Click the images below for a better look!

Is that plot serious? Because it seems to me that you misspelled “Kratos” as “Perseus” and “movie adaptation of God of War” as “remake of Clash of the Titans.” I recognize a lot of different stories in there, pretty much none of which have to do with Perseus.

*sigh* It always saddens me a little when movies try to make Hades a villain. Same thing with Anubis. If you look at most of the old gods of death/afterlife/embalming, they are not evil, or at the very least no more evil than the other deities in their pantheons.

I agree. Plus the whole Hades as a villein thing has been done to death. Why not use the original story of Perseus battling the Kraken, Medusa, and Calibos (is he even in this movie?!) to save Andromeda? I’m a huge fan of the original and this is starting to sound like a remake in name only sort of deal.

Judging from that last pic, Perseus’s encounter with Medusa isn’t going to be near as dark and creepy as it was in the original….not like this movie will ever in a million years rival Harryhausen’s work.

And is Perseus’s shield a giant oyster??!
