We just got a heads up from a reader cryptically known only as “Wolf” that the trailer for Dead Space: Downfall, the animated film that serves as a prequel to the Dead Space video game, is now online.
Are you a veteran of the video game franchise F.E.A.R.? Then you know all about the intensely violent combat, thick and rich atmosphere, mind-bending levels, and the blood lust of a little devil known as Alma.
We got an e-mail from Dr. Uwe Boll today (seriously) with a brand-new trailer for his next video game adaptation, Far Cry. Of course, I didn’t realize it was all in German until it was uploaded, but that just makes it more fun!
Dead Space isn’t as surprising now as it was when it was first revealed. A game coming from a creatively rejuvenated EA games, that sits amongst a slate of other promising looking, brand new ideas. It wasn’t incredibly surprising when it was first unveiled either. But you have to think back to how we used to look at EA games a couple of years back.
So EA was kind enough to fly me out to the west coast to visit their studios and to check out Dead Space. I got a chance to hang out with some of the team and there was a roundtable with a few presentations, as well. I’ll be detailing those later, but first things first I want to write up my experiences playing the game.
What trip through the survival horror video game genre would be complete without a visit to the sleepy town of Silent Hill?
There's no question Dead Space is one title that fans of the survival horror genre have been clamoring for. So we made it our business to seek out the playable game at this past Comic-Con along with its senior producer Chuck Beaver to get you the goods on it!
We just got a heads up from the good folks at EA Games that two new video pieces are now live for their forthcoming horror game Dead Space. First up we have a new developer’s diary called “Creating Terror” which will further solidfy that these guys know what they’re doing in our genre. Dig:
How do you make a video game out of the Saw franchise? Would it be a series of mini-games where someone must disarm traps in order to save others/themselves? Could it be a detective game, like Condemnded, where you must piece together clues in order to track down Jigsaw? Word on the street says this last one may be the most likely.
File this one under "likely but still rumoured". Zombies!!! from Twilight Creations is a beloved board game around these parts for good reasons. It’s fun and it has zombies in it! Now Joystiq have caught wind that it might be heading to Xbox Live Arcade at some point.
IGN, among many other gaming sites, is reporting that Activision has decided to not publish many of the anticipated titles from its recently acquired Vivendi Games portfolio. Among those dropped from publication are Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Brütal Legend, WET, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and World in Conflict: Soviet Assault.
Here we go! Kasch and Buz are hard at work putting up all the video they shot at Comic-Con this past week, and here's the first one!
Resident Evil: Degeneration (official site) is going to pick up the pieces the three live-action films left behind. First of all, this new story looks to be skipping the Paul Anderson BS all together and second, some familiar faces from the game are finally joining the battle against the T-Virus.
Creepy just called in from Comic Con with a ton of details about the upcoming Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe video game, which as we told you yesterday will not be bloodless as we had originally feared!
