Even Fangoria has news coming out of AFM further cementing the fact that horror is not only alive, it's twitching, crawling off the slab, and looking for fresh meat. Or in this case not so fresh meat. That's right kids, another remake is on its way, this time of a personal favorite of mine - the Bob Clarke classic, Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things. But wait ... there's more!

The votes are in, and we couldn't be happier to report that Darin Scott's Dark House is the winner of the Fangoria FrightFest film competition and will receive a theatrical release!

With voting officially starting today, the cover art for all eight films entered into the Fangoria FrightFest film competition has landed with a splat in our mailboxes, and we've gotta say some of them are real winners. Ready for a little art-based terror?

We've all been there, man. Just driving along with a few friends, having a good time, chilling out ... then all of a sudden a psychopath is driving straight up our butts and comes close to killing everyone including himself! We previously told you about Fangoria's FrightFest, a partnership with Lightning Media to distribute independent horror films via DVD, Video on Demand, and Digital Download; and now we've got some additional details and a trailer for one of the films, Jaume Balaguero's Fragile.

I'm really pulling for Fangoria Magazine these days. Chalk it up to childhood nostalgia if you want, but some of my earliest genre memories were peeling through the pages of Fango and being absolutely mesmerized by what I saw.

There's been a good bit of speculation bouncing around the Internet lately over the fate of what most consider an institution in our genre: Fangoria Magazine. Now things are a little clearer, but there are still a few loose ends yet to be tied up.
