GODZILLA VS KONG: The Official Novelization Synopsis Promises “All-Out War”

Plot details for the upcoming kaiju horror Godzilla vs Kong (releasing in May 2021) have been scant. But now, a synopsis for the film’s official novelization suggests the two titular titans will engage in nothing less than “all-out war”!

To be clear, we’re talking about the synopsis of the novelization. Still, we have to assume the book’s writer (Greg Keyes) is familiar with the source material. The synopsis was revealed by Kaiju News Outlet before Christmas.

Humanity fights for its future as Godzilla and Kong embark on a path of destruction that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in an all-out war!

Adam Wingard directs Godzilla Vs Kong from a script written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein. Terry Rossio, Michael Dougherty, and Zach Shields penned the story based on Godzilla by Toho and King Kong by Edgar Wallace and Merian C. Cooper.

Godzilla Vs Kong stars Alexander Skarsgård (The Stand), Millie Bobby Brown, and Rebecca Hall. Brian Tyree Henry co-stars with Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. Mary Parent produced with Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, and Brian Rogers. The Mayan half-man, half-bat monster god Titanus Camazotz may be featured in the film. Described as being like “darkness,” the new Titan is the “embodiment of nightmares.”

Rated PG-13 for “intense sequences of creature violence/destruction and brief language,” Godzilla Vs Kong is currently set to be released on May 21st, 2021.
