This ‘Skinamarink’ Parody Sequel Is The New Must-See Liminal Experience [Video]

Skinamarink hit the horror sphere hard last month. People are still talking about it and writing novel-length tweets about this indie horror film. However, some people are ready to take their love for the film to a deeper level. For those of you who want more liminal madness, you’re in luck. We found Skinamarinki-doo – Part II, a parody sequel from Rene Rivas.

For the uninitiated, Skinamarink was written and directed by Kyle Edward Ball. It stars Lucas Paul, Dali Rose Tetreault, and Ross Paul.

In the film, two children wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing, and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished. The film is currently streaming on Shudder.

Because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and we can do a lot with a smartphone these days, it was only a matter of time before someone emulated this horror moment.

Rene Rivas watched Skinamarink in theaters and immediately set out to make a short parody. The film, Skinamarinki-doo – Part II, is a 12-minute movie with similar imagery and tonality as the original film. It’s a must watch.

Hopefully, this will inspire more of us to whip out our iPhones and get weird in our homes. If you break out your childhood toys and a blue light then maybe you too could have a weird movie on the internet.

Does Skinamarinki-doo – Part II  leave you wondering what an actual Skinamarink sequel would look like? Let me know at @misssharai.
