STRANGER THINGS 4 Is Coming Sooner Than You Expect

We haven’t been back to Hawkins, Indiana in about two years and we’re getting impatient. Don’t worry though, Stranger Things 4 producer Shawn Levy is well aware.

“To state the incredibly obvious, it’s been way, way, way, way too long, and it’s coming,” said Levy about the upcoming season of Netflix’s massively popular series.

It’s no secret that Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s most valuable properties. Subsequently, the delays in Season 4’s schedule have had fans and creators a little bit antsy. But it seems like we’re finally close to getting the new season on our screens, as the filming for ST4 is nearly finished!

Here’s what Levy had to say about where the production is at:

I shot in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We have filmed in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico, so suffice to say Season 4 is sprawling. It’s visually and narratively very ambitious, much more ambitious than the prior three seasons — The delay is due in large measure to COVID and the pace at which we have to work to do so safely, but it also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger. It’s the scale of this season and the multi-settings of Season 4

The last place we saw our heroes was at the Starcourt Mall. That’s where a massive showdown against the Mind Flayer left some of our most beloved characters (seemingly) dead. Since then, we’ve only had a small glimpse into the world of the fourth season when the official teaser was released in May.

Stranger Things 4 will star Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery.
