WATCH: Brand New DUNE Trailer Is An Epic Sci-Fi Flex

The new trailer for Dune is here.

Due to delays, its release has been in a constant state of flux. But not anymore. The upcoming October release could be one of the most exciting films we get this year.

Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) directs the latest adaptation for Dune based on Frank Herbert’s groundbreaking bestseller of the same name.

Sadly this new look does not feature any gigantic sandworms. However, it’s still packed full of mood, epic landscapes and even a healthy dose of humour.

Check it out now:

Synopsis

Dune tells the story of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet), a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. Malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence. It’s a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

In addition, the film stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), Rebecca Ferguson (Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep), Oscar Isaac (the Star Wars franchise) Dave Bautista (Army of the Dead), and Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming).

Villeneuve directed “Dune” from a screenplay by Jon Spaihts and Villeneuve and Eric Roth. Villeneuve also produced the film with Mary Parent, Cale Boyter and Joe Caracciolo, Jr. The executive producers are Tanya Lapointe, Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert.

Lastly, the film sees release in select theaters in 2D and 3D and IMAX and on HBO Max on October 22, 2021
