New Anime GODZILLA SINGULAR POINT Arrives on Netflix June 24th

In Netflix and Godzilla news, a new Godzilla property is landing on Netflix in just two days! Godzilla Singular point has already launched successfully in Japan and Mexico. Worldwide release is the 24th. While, I’m not a partaker of Godzilla media myself, but if you like it, you like it.

Synopsis:
Brought together by a mysteries song, a grad student and an engineer lead the fight against an unimaginable force that may spell doom for the world…Godzilla Singular Point is an original anime series featuring character designs by Blue Exorcist’s Kazue Kato and a new Godzilla design from legendary Ghibli animator Eiji Yamamori.

I’ve seen the trailer for Godzilla Singular Point and of course you can watch it below. I think it looks good. Godzilla is big business these days, with revival movies hitting every couple of years. Also, I believe Godzilla had a schoolyard fight with one King Kong earlier this year. This version of Godzilla looks to bring in some heavy Japanese talent to back up it’s new storytelling.

Japanese novelist Toh Enjoe is making his TV debut as writer for Godzilla Singular Point. Kazue Kato, creator of Blue Exorcist and hit comic Jump Square is onboard as character designer and animator. While Eiji Yamamori from Studio Ghibli, who worked on Spirited Away, The Wind Rises, and Princess Mononoke will be on hand for kaiju designs.
