Quint Killed Ben Gardner in Steven Spielberg’s JAWS!

Like many of you out there, one of my favorite movies of all time is Steven Spielberg’s Jaws with Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw.
And today we have a killer fan theory that suggest that good old Bruce the Shark didn’t kill Bruce Gardner – it was local fishing rival Quint!
This theory comes to us from Matt Hooper aka Richard Dreyfuss’s son Ben Dreyfuss over on Twitter.
He writes: “One thing that everyone including my father gets wrong about Jaws is that they all think Jaws killed Ben Gardner. But that’s wrong. Ben Gardner was murdered by Quint, his local fishing rival.”

Jaws begins when a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping and police chief Martin Brody wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. The film sports a 98% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Compelling, well-crafted storytelling and a judicious sense of terror ensure Steven Spielberg’s Jaws has remained a benchmark in the art of delivering modern blockbuster thrills.
