The Golem coming February 2019

On February 5, DREAD Presents released our first original film in the form of The Golem. A sweeping period horror film about the dangers of xenophobia, misogyny, and anti-Semitism, the film has, as of this post, a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! Critics and audiences alike have been enamored by the gorgeous production value and the intense and visceral horror, a match made in horror heaven, and we’re incredibly proud of the release.

Two weeks ago, we introduced you all to a horror podcast that we’re big fans of: Kim and Ket Stay Alive…Maybe. Today, we want to highlight one of their latest episodes as there’s a segment in it where the two hosts draw their attention to The Golem! Listen above to the ladies chat about all things Hellraiser and then sneak in some Jewish folklore goodness!

You can listen to Kim and Ket Stay Alive…Maybe on iTunes, Google, Spotify, and Sticher. You can also learn more about them on their official website.

During an outbreak of a deadly plague, a young woman, Hanna, must save her tight-knit Jewish community from invaders. Turning to Jewish mysticism, she conjures a dangerous entity to protect her and her people. However, the powerful creature she summons may be far more evil than anything she could have ever imagined.

Starring in the film are Hani Furstenberg (Hanna), Ishai Golan (Benjamin), Lenny Ravich (Horrovits), Brynie Furstenberg (Perla), and Alexey Tritenko (Vladimir). Written by Ariel Cohen, The Golem was produced by Shalom Eisenbach as well as Shaked Berenson and Patrick Ewald of Epic Pictures Group.

You can order The Golem on Blu-ray and DVD as well as iTunes.
