Bethesda Donating FALLOUT 76 Song Proceeds To Charity

When Bethesda revealed Fallout 76 at E3, they did so with a splendid recording of the late John Denver’s famous song Take Me Home, Country Roads. This version of the song proved to be so popular that Bethesda announced on Twitter that they will be selling the track on iTunes, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Habitat for Humanity, a charitable organization which fights poverty all around the world (learn more about what they do here).
Bethesda will release the song on iTunes from July 4, and as the proceeds will be going towards a charitable cause, there really is no excuse not to purchase it. This is such a great thing for the publisher to do that if I believed in God, I would probably be asking him to bless Bethesda right now.
Fallout 76 will be Bethesda’s largest open world RPG yet, and will also take place many years before all the previous Fallout games, shortly before the world was turned into a ravaged wasteland. Unlike other Bethesda RPGs, however, it will also be an online multiplayer game, and will probably not be playable offline. As we have an interest in cryptozoology here on Dread Central, we were also very happy to learn that the Mothman and the Flatwoods Monster, which were both reportedly signed in West Virginia where the game takes place, will be making appearances.
We don’t have long to wait for Fallout 76, as it will be released on PS3, Xbox One, and PC on November 14.
