Shane Black’s The Predator Release Date Pushed Back

Looks like Shane Black’s reboot of Predator has been pushed back. But no huge worries; it’s only by a month and some change.

Exhibitor Relations on Twitter let us all know that The Predator has been moved from its initial August 3rd release date to September 14th.

“Obviously hoping to scare up some of that mad money Stephen King’s IT made last year in what is typically a box office dead zone.”

Again, this isn’t a huge deal; and now that 20th Century Fox’s properties are in the hands of Disney, it could have been worse. A lot worse.

What do you think of this release date shuffle? Let us know below.

The Predator is directed by Shane Black and co-written by Black and Fred Dekker. The film stars Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Edward James Olmos.

The film hits theaters nationwide onĀ September 14th.
