From 1983 to 1988, Empire International Pictures brought forth some of the great obscure genre titles that the decade had to offer. Sci-fi, fantasy, and horror were all on the table for this production and distribution company, which resulted in it being a beloved cult outlet. Alas, like all good things, it came to a premature end. Founder Charles Band went on to create Full Moon Features, the studio responsible for the Puppet Master< franchise, but he’s decided that it’s time to celebrate the legacy of Empire Pictures with a stunning limited edition Blu-ray boxset!

Featuring 18 films across 15 discs (14 blu-ray and one DVD), the boxset will also include a 24-page booklet, all housed in a sturdy collectors box. It will be limited to 600 copies, is being released in conjunction with Shout! Factory, and will cost $250 per unit.

The films included are Metalstorm (regular and 3D versions), The Dungeonmaster, Ghoulies, Trancers, Eliminators, Crawlspace, From Beyond, Terrorvision, Troll, Dolls, Prison, Cellar Dweller, Catacombs, Ghost Town, Ghoulies 2, Robot Jox, and Arena, the last of which is the DVD of the boxset.

The official release date is May 5th with the presale beginning on April 28th. There will be no units offered new in stores, so getting it online is the online surefire way to get one of these limited sets.
