War Monkeys

It's been nearly two whole years since we talked about a big screen adaptation of Dark Horse's pissed off simians run amok film, War Monkeys, but a lot can happen with the passage of time, including a change of director!

I’m sure you’ve been losing a good amount of sleep wondering what the hell’s going on with Kevin Munroe’s War Monkeys, which we last told about a few months back. Well rest easy, dear reader, we’ve got you an update!

Kevin Munroe, the director of TMNT and the upcoming Dylan Dog adaptation, Dead of Night, started talking about another high-concept project he’s working on with Dark Horse recently called War Monkeys. THR reports that the project is gearing up for an early 2009 start.

Dark Horse Indie, despite having not exactly taken the genre world by storm thanks to their lengthy turnaround time in projects, have got behind a brand new one according to The Hollywood Reporter that I’m sure we’ll be hearing about for years to come much like My Name is Bruce and Driftwood
