The name Tim Seeley is one that always perks up the ears of horror fans. His artwork is among the best out there, and we can't get enough of his projects like Hack/Slash and Loaded Bible. The other day we reported that the release date for Matt Pizzolo's Godkiller "illustrated film" was being pushed back a week to October 6th due to the quantity of retail orders Halo-8 had received for the DVD. We should all have such problems, right? In any event, to help fuel our anticipation, the company has debuted the box art and special features that await us on October 6th.

As we reported previously, Jay Woelfel's Live Evil will have a 300-screen theatrical release starting September 18th, as well as being available on DVD and OnDemand November 3rd. To honor the occasion, the film also has a spiffy new teaser poster.

Nerdcore may have some competition for genre-friendly girlie calendars as Scotchworthy Productions has revealed its new 2010 calendar, which will feature the scantily clad Scotchworthy girls posed in re-creations of various horror film favorites.

We reported earlier that Jay Woelfel's Live Evil had won an theatrical release of 300 screens starting September 18th, as well as a DVD release in mid-November. There's been an update to this story, in that we recently learned that the film is also getting a premiere at the Sci-Fi Center in Las Vegas.

It's been a long time coming for those of us who have been following the progress of the short film called "Thirsty" since its inception, but we're pleased to announce that it will be having its world premiere this Friday, August 7th, at midnight, during the 13th annual Rhode Island International Film Festival. One upcoming project that has definitely got our attention is the "illustrated film" adaptation of Godkiller, written and directed by Matt Pizzolo based on the comic book of the same name he created with illustrator Anna Muckcracker. As previously reported, genre faves Tiffany Shepis, Danielle Harris, Lance Henriksen, and Bill Moseley are all lending their voice talents to the project.

Things have been really quiet news-wise concerning the little anthology that could, Monsterpiece Theatre. In all honesty the movie presented by John Carl Buechler and Ethan Terra has a lot going for it -- good effects, good writing, and a great cast that includes Tiffany Shepis, Kane Hodder, Eileen Dietz, and a host of genre personalities including two chubby bald guys whom you may just recognize immediately!
