Stefan RuzowitzkyJust like monster movies, it seems as if the mad scientist subgenre is poised to make a comeback thanks to the success of recent films like The Human Centipede (First Sequence), etc. So what type of macabre medical mayhem lies ahead for us next? We’ll find out in Braincopy.

German-based Kinowelt is going to shepherd the new thriller from Academy Award-winning director Stefan Ruzowitzky (pictured right; Anatomie, Anatomie 2) to be the first of three German films as part of its mandate to acquire and produce local language product.

Braincopy follows the trials and tribulations of a scientist who concocts a formula that allows the elderly to transfer their brains into young and healthy bodies.

So crazy? Of course! “And it’s German made so you know it’s good!” That one’s for you, Vince … wherever you are! Look for more soon!
