What is The Scream Factory?

Every now and then we get these cryptic e-mails from people trying to drum up interest in some indie venture or another, but very rarely do they ever turn out to be anything. This week, though, we got word from a place called The Scream Factory who seem poised to do some pretty cool things in horror comics and film soon and already have some quite interesting names involved.

A confidential source close to Scream Factory has told us that a big announcement is in the works for next week but was able to reveal that Scream Factory is working on both comics and movies with people like Robert Kurtzman, Dee Snider, Tobin Bell and Jesse Blaze Snider. We were told that some series which have so far gone unfinished, likely those under the Fangoria Comics header, will finally see completion, a brand-new series will be launched, and a movie project that’s been sitting in the wings (Kurtzman’s Bump perhaps?) will finally see some movement.

The best way to make sure you don’t miss out on what, specifically, The Scream Factory will be doing is to befriend them on MySpace right now. And keep your eyeballs glued to Dread Central for all the specifics as soon as they’re available!
