The Genetic Opera Tokyo Gore Police Toronto After Dark Tweet By The Woman In Black August 27th, 2008 The Toronto After Dark Film Festival has announced the first batch of new horror, sci-fi, action, and cult feature films that will be shown at the festival this October 17-24. It's quite an eclectic list -- one that sure makes me wish I lived a little closer to Toronto! The initial lineup includes "horror musical Repo! The Genetic Opera, Sundance selection revenge thriller Red based on Jack Ketchum’s novel, cult horror action movie Tokyo Gore Police, celebrated vampire feature Let the Right One In, which won Best Picture at the Tribeca Film Festival, and Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton’s dark and twisted modern fairytale, Idiots & Angels." Rounding out the list are "Mireageman, an action-packed crowd-pleaser featuring breathtaking stuntwork shot in a uniquely realistic style, the wickedly fun Trailer Park of Terror, and the multiple festival award-winning Who is KK Downey? in which bickering failed musicians Theo and Terrence try to win fame and fortune by pulling the biggest con of their lives."
