As with most years previous, the Midnight Madness lineup at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival is a damn impressive one.
The full lineup was just announced and includes movies like JCVD, in which Jean-Claude Van Damme plays himself in a movie about being himself; the very disturbing-sounding Deadgirl (pictured) about two friends who find a seemingly dead girl in an abandoned asylum and what happens when one of them wants to do some nasty things to her; the French film Martyrs, which has been getting massively good reviews from its few screenings; and the world premiere of J.T. Petty’s Old West monster romp The Burrowers.
