More Host 2 Details
Now that it’s been confirmed over and over that yes, The Host 2 will be a prequel, more and more information is cropping up about it, specifically today from Sci Fi Japan, who got a look at the first conceptual sketch from the film.
Scripted by popular comics writer Kang Full, the story will take place in 2003, three years previous to the events in The Host, during the early stages of the restoration of Cheonggye Stream through downtown Seoul. The stream, which was covered in concrete for 20 years before it was finally reverted back to water in 2005, was a major source of societal and political issues during the restoration, so it’s a great setting for yet another politically-charge monster movie.
Kang provided Sci Fi Japan with the first sketch from the film (click it to see it full size), depicting a scene in which a forklift driver tries to block the monster form climbing up to the surface. “I wanted to maintain the grace of the original film and to overcome the difficulties and limitations a sequel could have. And I wish to show more action with multiple monsters.” Kang told them.
So you wanted to make a film as good as the first with more monsters? I’m sure those who were frustrated by The Host’s drama-driven center act will be happy to hear that. My real question is how it is a monster could have attacked Seoul once but it never be brought up during the events of The Host? I’m sure they’re explain that, though ... blue shit, perhaps? Keep it here fore more on The Host 2 as it develops!
Do it all for the love of monsters in the Dread Central forums!

I am not sure if there will be another After Dark Horrorfest this year. While the idea is pretty awesome (having showings nationwide of horror films most people wouldn't see in theatres), there was just nothing very interesting in last year's selection.

Someone copyright "Blue Shit"! Ican see that catching on.

Maybe these monsters were smaller or just easier dealt with, meaning that the whole thing was much easier to cover up than the events in "The Host".
