Hellboy Finds His Voice

Our ringmaster around these parts, Mr. Johnny Butane, directed all of your attention earlier this week towards one of the first hands-on previews of the Hellboy videogame coming from Konami. Well, today was Konami’s Gamers Day which brought us a couple of pieces of news via press release, including a not altogether unexpected piece of news about which actor would be lending their vocal chords to Big Red himself.

None other than Ron Perlman, of course. While I still have mixed feelings about the Hellboy movie, one thing I was definitely taken with was Ron Perlman’s brilliant performance as the titular demon, to the point where I can’t read a Hellboy comic without hearing his voice speaking the words.

Given that he’s been voicing the part in the recent animated sequels, it’s only fitting that Ron continues to keep some ownership of the part that he really made his own.

Hellboy, the game, is heading to Xbox 360, the PS3 and the PSP this fall and should be worth a look for any fans of what you can only call a franchise these days.
