Isolation Monsters Parasites Splinter The Grudge 3 Toby Wilkins Tweet By Johnny Butane September 15th, 2008 The official site for Toby Wilkins’ feature debut, Splinter, kicked in the doors of the internet over the weekend and it’s very ... pointy. Lots and lots of sharp edges on this one, but don’t take my word for it; check out the Splinter site here to see what I mean. Splinter is the story of a young couple trapped in an isolated gas station with an escaped convict, which is a bad situation to start off. Things get considerably worse when a voracious parasite comes along that transforms its victims into monstrosities, and the trio have to work together if they’re going to survive. Magnet Releasing plans to get Splinter in theaters on October 31st, but it will be premiering at Screamfest first. Wilkins has gone on to direct The Grudge 3 since Splinter wrapped, so expect to be hearing a lot more about him real soon!
