Gillman With a Taste for Redneck

Now here's a movie after my own heart - Creature from the Hillbilly Lagoon. A group of college students run afoul of a band of inbred rednecks, but making matters worse is the gillman monster spawned from toxic waste dumped into a nearby lagoon. Expect plenty of cheap, cheesy, gory, gooey, rubber-suited fishman on a rampage action. They don't make enough movies of this ilk for my take, and when they do they're usually of the Rana, The Legend of Shadow Lake variety. If you've never seen that particular monster movie I assure you that's not a gillman movie you want to be compared to.

Fangoria got word on the artwork and DVD specs for the November 11th Shock-O-Rama DVD release of this throwback creature feature from Feeding The Masses' filmmaker Richard Griffin. Extras will include an audio commentary track with Grffin, a behind-the-scenes featurette, deleted scenes, and plenty of trailers from Shock-O-Rama's vault. Retail price is $19.95.
