Filmax Goes Underground
Now, kids, this is why you should never take up the life of a graphitti artist. Too much running around, too many chances to get caught, and of course there’s the ever-present danger of half human creatures living in the subways below whatever city you do your work in.
Daily Variety reports that Filmax has nabbed all the rights outside of Spain for Tinieblas Gonzalez' Underground (aka ASD) which, coincidentally, is about that last example. A group of taggers decide to get to work decorating a new subway system and while on the run from the police, stumble upon a half-human creature below ground that has a taste for flesh.
Gonzalez, whose first name translates to "Shadows" apparently, is well-known in Spain for his shorts (films, not clothing) and Underground serves as his latest feature offering. Written by Backwoods penner/director Koldo Serra along with Gonzalez and Txabier Alastruey, Underground was shot in English so expect to see it on our shores sooner rather than later.
