It's been a couple of months since we last heard anything new regarding Red Lights, Rodrigo Cortes' follow up to his claustrophobic hit Buried, but rest assured things are progressing nicely and another name has joined the star-filled cast.
And what week would be complete without more Ghostbusters 3 non-news? Well, at the very least this time it's coming from someone that we haven't heard from sixty times before, the fourth wheel in this not-so-well oiled machine, Ernie Hudson!
Yep. You knew it was bound to happen.
It just never stops. Every couple of weeks, sometimes even more frequently than that, more dirt is dished about the supposedly upcoming Ghostbusters 3. We don't know about you guys, but we feel like we've been on this merry-go-round way too long.
And the AFM horror news express continues to chug along healthily, this time with some more casting news for Buried director Rodrigo Cortés' next flick, Red Lights.
Even though Bloody Disgusting broke the story way back in May, the rest of the industry has caught up and there's now official casting confirmation concerning
A bit more on the progress of Ghostbusters 3, this time coming from Dan Aykroyd himself, who revealed that things (despite whatever weirdness co-star Bill Murray is spouting) are actually moving along quite nicely in terms of the script he's writing with Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.
Round and round we go. Every few weeks some more Ghostbusters 3 news rears its head; yet, we're still not one step closer to seeing this thing come to fruition. Today we have a few plot details for you. At least they could be plot details. Honestly, who knows? The latest bits of info come courtesy of our buds at Bloody Disgusting:
And the cast of Amy Heckerling's horror comedy Vamps just keeps on growing. We usually hate humor with our terror and would rather see vamps tearing throats out instead of mugging for the camera, but this one seems to be moving along just fine.
More casting news has come in for Amy Heckerling's horror comedy Vamps, and instead of giving us a good bite on the neck, it looks like we'll just be getting some playful nips.
Like Creepy said when he wrote up the recent news story about Richard Lewis joining the cast of Amy Heckerling's horror comedy Vamps, a lot of us prefer our genre fare to stick to the serious side, but considering Heckerling's track record, I'm willing to give Vamps a shot. And the news that Kristen Johnston has joined the cast only increases the likelihood of the film being a winner.
Comedy is said to be the perfect compliment to horror. Personally? I disagree. I like my horror serious and insane, but alas, I'm in the minority. A new cast member has signed on to Amy Heckerling's horror comedy Vamps that is sure to get some laughs in between all the biting!
Even though Rodrigo Cortés' first film, Buried, isn't even out of the proverbial gate yet, that hasn't stopped Hollywood from banging on the director's door. Looks like his next project is right around the corner as he already has one of his leading ladies!
Okay, so rumors and news about the possible Ghostbusters 3 movie have been cluttering up the Internet for almost a year now. With the exception of Ivan Reitman being named as the film's director if it ever does get made, all the news has pretty much amounted to nothing more than lip service. And now it appears as if we won't even have the one story to cling to. Sigh.
In our genre the ever attractive Sigourney Weaver has done it all. Fought aliens. Busted ghosts. Now she's taking on the role of a Queen Vampire in Amy Heckerling's horror comedy Vamps.
