Now that Paul Bettany is making the rounds to promote his upcoming dark action flick Legion, he’s finally ready to set his sights on his next film, Priest. Priest reunites the actor with director Scott Stewart, who also helmed Legion. He was on hand at Comic-Con to discuss his latest jump into the action film genre.

Horror westerns seem to be an oddly hot commodity these days what with quality flicks like The Burrowers already out and Jonah Hex on the way. Another unlikely horror commodity is Cam Gigandet, who has just signed on to star opposite Paul Bettany in the live action adaptation of Tokyo Pop's horror western comic book Priest.

Who do you think could stop an apocalypse that was set to take place because God lost faith in his creation (humans, not kangaroos)? The trades are reporting this morning that Paul (The Da Vinci Code) Bettany has signed on to star in the Screen Gems thriller Legion, the feature directing debut of visual effects house Orphanage co-founder Scott Stewart, who also penned the script with Peter Schink.
