Paula Malcomson is Down to Play Hunger Games

It seems like you can’t really go a day without some Hunger Games casting news, right? Well here’s a little bit more for you to chew on – get it?

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Paula Malcomson (Caprica) has become the latest addition to an already sprawling cast. She’ll play mother to Jennifer Lawrence and Willow Shields, while other cast members include Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Amandla Stenberg, Dayo Okeniyi, Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid.

The story is set is set in a North American dystopia, where people compete in a brutal ‘hunger games,’ fighting to the death until one among them remains. Sounds a bit like Battle Royale meets The Running Man, and if it’s half as good as either of those films I will be a very happy camper.

If the past week has taught me anything, it’s that you can bet on a lot more Hunger Games information as this project gets under way. We’ll bring you all the news that’s fit to print, and some that’s probably not. But we’d be slacking if we did it any other way.
