Apparently Koreans don't like it when you mess with their priests. As soon as the first teaser poster for Thirst became public, it was banned for being "too provocative and disturbing."

This may seem like sacrilege to some, but I am not a fan of Oldboy. The movie had its moments, but overall it didn't do anything for me. That being said, Park Chan-Wook’s newest vampire film, Thirst, more than has my attention.

There’s not a helluva lot to see, but a recent Korean TV report about Park Chan-Wook’s long-anticipated vampire film Thirst showcased the first footage from the film, which you can now see below. Though the film isn’t scheduled for release until May of 2009, hopefully there’s a lot more we’ll be able to share with you guys on it soon!

Universal Helps Fund Park's Thirst

Variety reports this morning that Universal and Focus Features have jumped on board Old Boy director Chan-Wook Park’s Thirst, his vampire film that’s currently in production, putting in money and adding themselves as co-producers on the film.

A few days back some poster art for Chan-wook Park's first horror film, Thirst, showed up all over the place thanks to someone snapping a pic of it at Cannes, but I've been waiting for even a slightly better looking image of the damn thing. To date, I've had no luck so I guess we'll just have to use the one that's everywhere for now.
