While at New York Comic Con this past weekend, which made the wise decision to move from February to April this year but is going back to February for next year, I hit up the Magnolia/Magnet booth and saw the first poster for their release of Nacho Vigalondo’s Timecrimes, which you can check out on your right.
Sorry the quality isn’t better; I couldn’t find an angle sans that nasty glare. But you get the idea, right?
Timecrimes, officially, goes like this: ”A man accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences.” A remake was just announced a few days back, to be written by Children of Men penner Timothy Sexton, but thankfully Magnolia already had the rights to get the original film out there.
No word on what their release plans are for Time Crimes yet, but I’ll be seeing it as part of the Boston Independent Film Festival soon, so expect a review within a week or so. Time Crimes recently nabbed the Danger After Dark Audience Award at the Philadelphia International Film Festival as well as a Black Tulip at the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival.
Discuss your time follies in the Dread Central forums!
