The Last House on Cemetery Lane Finds Distro in the UK

Word has just come in that Digital Media has acquired UK and Ireland distribution rights to British independent horror film The Last House on Cemetery Lane from director Andrew Jones. Read on for details.

The film focuses on screenwriter John Davies, who has grown tired of living in London and moves to an old manor house in a sleepy West Wales village. At first he enjoys himself, embracing the quieter pace of life and starting a relationship with his beautiful neighbour, Cassie Konrad, but strange, unexplained occurrences begin to occur in the manor house.
John discovers he is surrounded by a supernatural presence and begins to research the house’s past, discovering secrets more terrible than he ever imagined. It is now up to John to right the injustices of the past and finally lay to rest the spirits which haunt the Last House on Cemetery Lane.
Principal photography commences on 26 April 2014, and the film will be written, produced, and directed by Welsh filmmaker Andrew Jones. The cast includes Vivien Bridson (The Human Centipede II) and Lee Bane (The Amityville Asylum). The Last House on Cemetery Lane will be the sixth feature film collaboration between UK production company North Bank Entertainment and financiers Independent Moving Pictures. Filming will take place on location in Pembrokeshire and Swansea in South Wales. Robert Graham of Independent Moving Pictures will executive produce.
Since the company’s formation in 2012, North Bank Entertainment has become one of the most prolific producers of independent horror films in the UK. The company’s films have been released in various countries around the world, including the UK, North America, Canada, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Two of their most recently completed features, Valley of the Witch and The Midnight Horror Show, will receive multi platform releases in the UK and North America later this year.
The Last House on Cemetery Lane is the fifth film 4Digital Media has acquired from North Bank Entertainment for UK distribution. The latest deal was negotiated by North Bank’s Andrew Jones and 4Digital’s Tony Taglienti.
