Rosario Dawson Vacates Incarnate; Catalina Sandino Moreno Lands Role
Blumhouse's Incarnate has gone through a bit of a casting shake-up as Rosario Dawson has left the production and Catalina Sandino Moreno has taken her place.
THR reports Dawson left the project due to scheduling reasons. As a result Moreno (pictured) will star opposite Aaron Eckhart. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island's Brad Peyton will be directing a script by Ronnie Christensen.
The movie is due to begin production in November in Los Angeles.
The plot focuses on an unconventional exorcist who can tap into the subconscious of the possessed; he meets his match when a 9-year-old boy is possessed by a demon from his past.
Blumhouse and IM Global will co-finance the film. Blum is producing, and Couper Samuelson is exec producing with Michael Seitzman and Trevor Engelson.
