Exclusive Video: Dread Central Chats with Rob Zombie for The Lords of Salem, the 10th Anniversary of House of 1000 Corpses and MoreOn April 19th horror fans will see the return of writer/director Rob Zombie to his own original material with the wildly experimental The Lords of Salem.

The story follows a young woman named Heidi (Sheri Moon Zombie), who works as a DJ at a small radio station in Salem, Massachusetts, and receives a mysterious record from a group known only as "The Lords." And as Heidi listens to her special "gift," she begins to discover a violent secret lurking within the recording's murky tones that reveals new horrors dwelling deep within the already somewhat infamous past of the town of Salem.

At a recent press day for the film, Dread Central had the opportunity to chat with Zombie about his female-centric story and what inspired him to tackle the world of witchcraft for The Lords of Salem. And since the 10th anniversary of House of 1000 Corpses is later this week (April 11th to be precise), we asked Zombie to look back at his career over the last ten years and, in particular, his first time at the helm.

Zombie also discussed his struggle to balance both his ever-busy music and film careers, how The Lords of Salem will probably be his last horror film for a while and much more. Check it out below!

This historical context, aside from dramatic films like The Crucible, is pretty fertile ground for exponential experiment. So I guess we'll see. There's certainly interest there...
