I, Frankensetin to Be Released in 3D?

Now here’s something interesting… THR is reporting that Lionsgate is post-converting Stuart Beattie’s I, Frankenstein for a 3D release on September 13th. You know, because this movie is just screaming for the post-conversion treatment.

“We’re selective. We do it where we think it’s appropriate for the creative, as well as for the consumer enjoyment,” said Rob Friedman, co-chairman of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group during an analyst call regarding their third quarter revenues.

Aaron Eckhart, Yvonne Strahovski, Bill Nighy, and Socratis Otto star in the upcoming film.

I, Frankenstein, written and directed by Stuart Beattie, is based on a graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, co-creator of the Underworld franchise. Lionsgate will distribute the film in the United States, Lakeshore will handle international sales, and E1/Hopscotch will distribute in Australia.
