New Images From Mockingbird Lane Look Like Anything But The Munsters
NBC has released a slew of images for its "Munsters" reboot, "Mockingbird Lane," and we see nothing about these stills that echoes anything even remotely resembling the classic television series. True, it's hard to judge from just pictures, but we'll all be able to judge soon enough.
As reported yesterday, the network has decided to air the show's pricey $10 million pilot, which has been in development for two years, as a Halloween special. "Mockingbird Lane" will air Friday, October 26th, at 8:00 pm before "Grimm."
Written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer, "Mockingbird Lane" is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about "The Munsters," a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein — and their “plain” cousin that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy "Pushing Daisies."
Portia DeRossi and Jerry O’Connell star as Lily and Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie, and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.
