Winona Ryder Not Ready to Call for Beetlejuice

We've all been hearing about a new Beetlejuice movie for a while now, and finally Winona Ryder has added her two far less than enthusiastic cents to the matter at hand. Read on for the details.

While doing press for Frankenweenie Flixist caught up with Ryder and popped the magic question. According to the site a reporter enthusiastically told Winona Ryder that she was very excited for Beetlejuice 2 and hoped that Ryder would be in the movie. Ryder had just spent the fifteen minutes prior gushing about her emotional connection to all of her roles in Burton's movies, with a particular emphasis on Lydia. Given that, you'd think she might be pretty enthusiastic about the new movie, or at least somewhat optimistic. Instead, her response was a heavy sigh, a roll of the eyes, and a "Yeah, that would be...great."

So I guess the wedding is off?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and probably be one of the few that even makes this conclusion, but maybe she said it as Lydia, all depressed and uninspired. Then again, she really might not just care for it even though it was probably one of the best 3 films of her career. It'd have to be done right, but like Ghost Busters 3 i think it'll stay in development hell until it'll be done as close to perfect as they feel they can get.

No big thang. There are about thirty Winona Ryder's in Hollywood, all of whom can out act the real one any day.

No big loss. Cant stand Her. As long as Michael Keatons on board, thats all that matters. Although I wouldnt mind if Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin returned.
