Hammer Launches YouTube Channel; Get a Sneak Peek of The Quiet Ones
As big fans of classic Hammer horror films (and the studio's newer offerings, too), we couldn't be happier to announce the launch of the Hammer YouTube channel, which will stream exclusive new content and restored classics online. First up: a sneak peek of The Quiet Ones.
Per Variety the Hammer Films Channel will include previews, commentary, and behind-the-scenes footage from upcoming productions like The Woman in Black: Angels of Death along with the aforementioned The Quiet Ones. It will also dip into Hammer's extensive library of classic films, including The Quatermass Xperiment and The Man in Black, from its horror heyday in the 1950s through to the 1970s.
The studio plans to continue releasing titles, many of which will be digitally remastered under the restoration initiative launched by Hammer's parent, Exclusive Media; and the channel will include classic Hammer TV series as well as original trailer material previously unavailable to the public.
Hammer President/CEO Simon Oakes said, "We hope this new platform will allow us to continue to reach fans who have responded so well to films like Let Me In and The Woman in Black, while continuing to honor the great filmmaking history of our company."

The Quiet Ones Synopsis:
Starring Jared Harris ("Mad Men", The Ward) and Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and directed by John Pogue, The Quiet Ones (inspired by true events) tells the story of an unorthodox professor who uses controversial methods and leads his best students off the grid to take part in a dangerous experiment: to create a poltergeist. Based on the theory that paranormal activity is caused by human negative energy, the rogue scientists perform a series of tests on a young patient, pushing her to the edge of sanity. As frightening occurrences begin to take place with shocking and gruesome consequences, the group quickly realizes they have triggered a force more terrifying than they ever could have imagined.
Other cast members include Erin Richards ("Breaking In", "Being Human"), Olivia Cooke ("The Secret of Crickley Hall", "The Fuse"), and West End theatre actor Rory Fleck-Byrne. With the story and original screenplay by Tom DeVille, revisions by Craig Rosenberg, Oren Moverman, and most recently John Pogue, the film is produced by James Gay-Rees (Senna, Exit Through The Gift Shop) and Ben Holden in association with TPSC Films.
