Lara Jean Chorostecki to Have Dinner with Hannibal at NBC
More casting news has come in for the NBC series based upon the exploits of the infamous character created by Thomas Harris, "Hannibal." Camelot actress Lara Jean Chorostecki has joined the cast of the series to play Freddie Lounds, the sleazy tabloid reporter.
The project, written and exec-produced by Bryan Fuller and slated to debut at midseason, centers on the budding relationship between FBI agent Will Graham (played by Hugh Dancy) and his mentor, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship. Caroline Dhavernas also stars as Dr. Alana “Al” Bloom, a psychiatric protege of Hannibal Lecter’s who teaches psychology at Georgetown University and is consulting with the FBI on criminal profiling when she introduces her mentor to Laurence Fishburne’s Jack Crawford.
