Warner Shuts Down Direct-to-Video Division

Warner Shuts Down Direct-to-Video DivisionWarner Premiere has been the go-to source for Warner Brothers' direct-to-video content such as The Lost Boys flicks, The Hills Run Red, and the modern classic anthology Trick 'R Treat. Unfortunately it is no more.

According to Deadline the studio decided to shutter Warner Premiere early this summer, and most of its employees have already been given other jobs. But it will “continue and complete production on its remaining film and digital series project into the fall,” the company says. Warner Premiere was created in 2006 but became superfluous as the direct-to-video market diminished.

Rest in peace! We hardly knew ye!

Ugh, I hate Warner so much. A bunch of corporate whores. I think the thing I hate about them the most is that they got the rights to the FT13th series and there just leaving it on the shelf. I know Jason could never make as much money as Batman but the Ft13th remake did rather well. And its actually a good movie. <^> Warner.
