Lionsgate and Grindstone Go Toe-to-Toe with Fight Flick 2br/1ba

Have you heard of the 2003 Japanese flick 2LDK? It’s a favorite of mine about two female roommates engaging in a pretty damn epic battle to the death. I mention it because the film seems to have served as the inspiration for one that’s just been picked up for distribution…

…the details of which we’ve got on tap for ya today.

Screen Daily reports that Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment have scooped up the domestic rights to indie thriller 2br/1ba, which is short for ‘2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.’

Starring Alexa Vega, Spencer Grammer, and Kathryn Morris, the story follows the lives of two opposite roommates whose differences come to a head over the course of 24 hours in a physical, drag out battle over money, space, and morals.

2br/1ba was produced and directed by Rob Margolies along with producers Tenille Houston, Jon Smith, and Kristen Ruhlin. Check out the trailer below.
