A new indie film has hit our radar that promises to deliver the shocks by the mouthful. One look at the teaser poster, and I think you’ll get a pretty good idea of what we’re talking about. Read on for your first details on Brian the Blessed.
The film, written and directed by Raine McCormack, stars Ewen Macintosh (“The Office”), Natasha Coppola-Shalom (Gli Zii), Colin David Reese, Sidney Kean, Robert J. Francis, Kathleen Renish, and McCormack himself.
“We need £10,000 from crowd funding,” says McCormack. “This is to pay towards props, locations, and importantly the talent who will bring this story to life on screen. This money is part of a funding plan to go with an additional £20,000 of private investment. There are some amazing perks including ‘Kathy Killed Me,’ where you can get your face in the film! A portion of lifetime profits from this film will go to ‘Shelter’ in the UK to help the homeless.”
In Brian the Blessed a religious recluse, Brian, meets a kindred soul in Kathy. Together they run a make-shift homeless shelter until a gruesome attempted rape leads them to commit a shocking act. With suspicion mounting, the couple are forced to protect their newfound love ‘whatever it takes.’
