It’s been a while since we’ve had anything to report about The Night Comes for Us, from the guys who brought the The Raid: Redemption into our lives. As The Raid: Berandal gears up for a premiere at Sundance, a deal has been inked for the upcoming thriller. Read on!
Deadline reports that Radius-TWC has acquired the North American rights to The Night Comes for Us, which will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto (Killers). Raid director Gareth Evans will handle the action direction for the film.
The Raid: Redemption‘s Joe Taslim plays a mobster who returns to his local crime family in Jakarta only to find himself trapped in a word of betrayal and chaos. Martial artist Iko Uwais is choreographing the action, and Yayan Ruhian will also star.
Evans will produce alongside Maya Barack Evans of PT Merantau Films and XYZ Films’ Nate Bolotin, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer and Todd Brown.
