Uwe Boll On Another RampageA few years back infamous director Uwe Boll did the unthinkable… he released a really, and we mean really, good movie in Rampage starring Brendan Fletcher. Seriously, you wouldn’t even think Boll was behind this one. Can lightning strike twice?

According to THR, Boll has started rolling the cameras on his latest project, Rampage 2, with Rogue‘s Brendan Fletcher starring once again. The sequel to the original 2009 mass murder thriller is shooting over six days in Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Rampage 2 has Fletcher returning as a man who takes over a TV station and holds a number of hostages as a political platform to awaken humanity, instead of for money.

The feature from the prolific German director, who shoots most of his movies in Vancouver, also stars Lochlyn Munro (Tomorrowland), Mike Dopud, and Michaela Ross. Rampage 2 is produced by Natalia Tudge.

Uwe Boll has a well deserved reputation for shitty movies but Rampage was an exception a very disturbing, and violent ride along on a killing spree can’t really see a sequel working though think it wrapped up fine with no sequel needed .

You’re right. It was a perfect on-and-done movie with a great twist ending that actually made sense. The sequel is nothing more than a money grab (as most of his films are) and will suck. I like quite a few of his movies for the laugh value (hell, even Seed had it’s moments) but wish he’d leave well enough alone with this one.
