Oh, look! It’s a news story that has nothing to do with AFM. Isn’t it cute? We just wanna pinch it. Two more actors have boarded M. Night Shyamalan’s small screen project “Wayward Pines.” Read on for details.
THR reports that “In Treatment’s” Hope Davis (pictured) and “Weeds” alum Justin Kirk have boarded the Fox event series from Chad Hodge and Shyamalan. Davis will play Megan Fisher, a teacher at Wayward Pines Academy, while Kirk will portray Peter McCall, an unassuming realtor in town. Both will appear in multiple-episode arcs.
They join the previously announced Matt Dillon, Tim Griffin, Charlie Tahan, Shannyn Sossamon, Terrence Howard, Carla Gugino, Toby Jones, Greta Lee, Juliette Lewis, Lindsey Kraft, and Melissa Leo.
Based on the best-selling novel Pines by Blake Crouch, “Wayward Pines” is an intense, mind-bending thriller evocative of the classic cult hit “Twin Peaks.” “Wayward Pines” is set to debut in 2014.
Ethan Burke (Dillon) is a Secret Service agent who arrives in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, Idaho, on a mission to find two missing federal agents. But instead of answers, Ethan’s investigation only turns up more questions. Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the life he knew, from the husband and father he was, until he must face the terrifying reality that he may never get out of Wayward Pines alive.
