New York Daily News
I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all done things that have pissed off our boss, whether it’s spending too much time socializing with office pals or not meeting silly weekly quotas. But a woman in Montana has just come up with the most awesome way ever to piss off hers.
Yes, even more awesome than that time Steve Austin drove a beer truck into work and hosed down his boss with booze.
As reported by the NY Daily News, an employee of Montana’s Butte-Silver Bow County Health Department was convinced that otherworldly entities had invaded her office, and so she sought out help from the Butte Paranormal Investigative Team. The ghost-busting team, headed by John DeMuary, showed up after-hours at the offices and set up infrared cameras in an attempt to find out if the place truly was haunted.
After the investigation, DeMuary concluded that he felt the building was indeed haunted, based on the fact that he claims he heard voices, saw flickering lights and captured a ghostly orb on his camera. The bigger story, however, was what happened a few days after DeMuary and his team left.
The whole ordeal backfired when another employee found the infrared camera and turned it over to police, believing that someone planted it there to spy on them. Police reviewed the footage and saw on it nothing but typical office settings, and the employee who hired the ghost hunters was reprimanded for her actions. “The public gives trust in us, and we need to take that seriously… setting up cameras in public buildings to catch paranormal activity I don’t think is gaining the public’s trust,” said chief executive Matt Vincent.
