eOne Entertainment Nabs Knights of BadassdomSome truly unexpected news has hit the web regarding the long delayed release of Knights of Badassdom. Apparently eOne Entertainment has scored the rights to the flick, but will we be getting Joe Lynch’s cut or the greedy asshole of a producer’s version? Stay tuned!

“Game Of Thrones”‘ Peter Dinklage, “True Blood”‘s Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Danny Pudi, Margarita Levieva, and Josh Molina star. eOne plans a day-and-date U.S. release in theaters and on VOD.

Synopsis:
In this humorous fantasy adventure from IndieVest Pictures, Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is a heavy metal rocker who’s just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth (Margarita Levieva). His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism in which pretend knights, elves, and barbarians clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe’s “sorcerer” roommate (Zahn) inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth’s seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be in order to conquer the evil that has been unleashed.

  1. …”greedy producer”

…more than that – Bradley was sanctioned July 23 by FINRA for NASD and FINRA violations connected with raising money for the movie. So – did they sell the movie or just the distribution rights? Investors gonna see any money – or Indievest? Does this mean they’ll actually get $$ from EOne to finish the film? It’s not even a complete project at this point is it?

  2. If they release Lynch’s cut, great. If they use the re-edit done by those IndieVest crooks, then don’t bother putting it out.

  3. Yup, I’m in. Don’t really care for Steve Zhan but the fact that Jimmi Simpson is getting what looks like a supporting role will put me in the seat. You don’t mess with the McPolyes.

  4. Thankfully someone had the business sense to pick this one up! Anything with Peter Dinklage deserves to be seen by everyone.
