From the Press Release
Terror returns in a deceptively tiny package when Curse of Chucky, the newest installment of the chilling Child’s Play franchise, comes exclusively to Blu-Ray™ and DVD on October 8, 2013, from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Also available on Digital on September 24, 2013, Curse of Chucky reunites franchise creators Don Mancini and David Kirschner as Chucky returns to horrify viewers in an all-new, unrated chapter of the blood-soaked suspense saga that James Oster of ArrowInTheHead gleefully calls, “Delightfully deadly.”

“It has been a quarter of a century since fans were first petrified by Toyland’s most lethal serial killer in Child’s Play” said Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Universal 1440 Entertainment. “Now, twenty-five years later, the deadly legacy continues as Chucky resumes his disturbing reign of terror, delivering more of the blood-curdling scares and bone-chilling twists that have cemented his place as one of the world’s most legendary horror film icons.”

Written and directed by Mancini, Curse of Chucky finds a family imperiled by the murderous doll that launched a generation’s nightmares – determined to finish a job that was started long ago. The film stars Fiona Dourif (The Master, “True Blood”), A Martinez (“Longmire,” “General Hospital”), Danielle Bisutti (Get Smart, “CSI: Miami”) and Brennan Elliott (“Flight 93,” Double Jeopardy), with Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings) once again providing the voice of Chucky, the homicidal plaything inhabited by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray.

The Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack allows fans to view Curse of Chucky anytime, anywhere on the platform of their choice. It includes a Blu-Ray™ disc, a DVD, and Digital including UltraViolet™ for the ultimate, complete viewing experience. Additionally, Chucky: The Complete Collection Limited Edition is also available on Blu-ray™ and DVD on October 8, 2013, in the United States only. For the first time ever, Chucky fans can experience all six movies in one must-own set, including Child’s Play, Child’s Play 2, Child’s Play 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky and Curse of Chucky.

    Curse of Chucky Synopsis
He’s back! From the filmmakers that brought you Chucky comes the terrifying return of the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer. When a mysterious package arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif, “True Blood”), she doesn’t give it much thought. However, after her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the ensuing bloodshed and chaos. The return of America’s favorite toy, voiced again by Brad Dourif, is unrated and full of more blood-splattered thrills and chills.

The first picture he looks Asian. I can’t wait for the movie to come out. I love the series and the character.

Matt Serafini…..Facebook,Freddy in space facebook page and other websites.

im seriously annoyed over the fact that many horror fans have already determined that “Curse of Chucky” is going to be shit based on the 60 second trailer! are you fucking kidding me guys? wait till the movie comes out and watch the fucker to determine if its bad or good. also many are saying this its going to be garbage because its going straight to video…really? are you guys forgetting that some of the best recent horror films have gone straight to video like Trick ‘R’ Treat,End of the Line, Wrong Turn 2 and Hills Run Red…. seriously guys instead of bitching and moaning you should be thankful for the 3 things about Curse of chucky…
      1. its not a remake
      2. there going for serious and scary over campy
      3. Platinum Dunes is not involved in it
sigh….sometimes theres just no pleasing horror fans -_-

      • Matt Serafini

Where are you seeing all of this hatred?

I think the overall buzz is that people are looking forward to this, even if Chucky’s new look has been a topic of discussion.

        • LifeMi

James, I personally don’t think it looks bad; I’m just not convinced that a direct-to-video part 6 of an already mediocre series is going to be any good and that trailer did nothing to convince me it’ll be good, but it didn’t do anything to turn me off on it.

    • Chernobyl Kinsman

Hmm, I think he looks far creepier when he’s in ‘ordinary doll’ mode rather than ‘I’m pulling an evil face’ mode. Could be fun though, I’m quite looking forward to seeing what befalls the “What’s the worst that could happen?” guy.

    • Fearless_Froude

I always had a soft spot for Chuck, I liked Bride of Chucky I even liked Seed of Chucky. But Chucky pushing someone in a wheel chair towards the stairs, i cant help but smile 🙂 even if he does look like a bloated teenager on her period.

    • Terminal

Yes! Brad Dourif is back! This looks great.

Glad it’s Chucky being Chucky and none of that horse shit from Bride and Seed of Chucky.

    • James Coker

you all can bitch about chucky’s new look but at least appreciate that there trying to go for serious and scary this time…….Though I admit i fucking loved Bride of Chucky and think its one of the most under-rated horror movies of the 90s’

    • Matt Serafini

Can’t get used to the new look of Chucky.

It’s not bad. Just … different.

      • LifeMi

Agreed; it’s not awful, but it just looks odd. It doesn’t help that at times he looks like he’s squinting his eyes and at other times, he looks like classic Chucky, but with dark makeup around his eyes. I can appreciate the fact that they’re trying to make Chucky scary again, but this don’t give me any hope.

    • kiddcapone

He looks like a bloated teenage girl on her period…

      • The Woman In Black

Hilarious – I just said to Steve that he looks like a girl to me, and then I read your comment. Two great minds…

    • aliensharkboy

Still looks better than Child’s Play 3!
